Assistant Coach Steve Motta

One of Coach Baptistes' former UMass Dartmouth basketball player will be taking a seat on the Corsairs' bench this season. Steve Motta has been appointed assistant men's basketball coach for the Corsairs' men's team, replacing Jason Correiro. A three-year player for the Corsairs, Motta averaged 7.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game as a senior last season and 8.3 points and 3.6 rebounds for his career.

Motta is a 1996 UMass Dartmouth graduate. A former standout basketball player at Durfee High School in Fall River, Motta attended Worcester State College for one season before transferring to UMass Dartmouth.
