Assistant Coach Tracey Hackley

Tracey Hackley joined the coaching staff at UMass Dartmouth prior to the Fall 2007 season.  Prior to signing on with UMass Dartmouth field hockey, Hackley had a wide variety of coaching experience in field hockey including her work at Lead The Way Field Hockey in Seekonk, MA where she continues to serve as an administrator, team coach and instructor for middle and high school players. Since 2005 she has also coached their under-16 and under-19 select teams. 

Hackley has also served as a head coach at Tiverton (RI) high school for two seasons, leading her team into the finals of Division I.  A former member of a Big East Champion and an NCAA Tournament Elite Eight team at the University of Connecticut from 1993 through 1997, Hackley continues to support her alma mater by serving as a director and coach at the UConn Elite Field Hockey Camp held in Storrs, CT each summer.  In addition to her many awards and achievements in college she was a Big East Academic All Star from 1995-97 and a First Union Bank National Scholar Athlete Award winner in 1997.

Presently she is employed by the Newport Public School Department where she has served as a Special Education Teacher since 1998.  She is also a Lead Teacher for Child Conference Care in Andover, MA and a home tutor for Newport Public Schools.
