UMass Dartmouth wins it seasons opener 20-0 against a solid Mount Ida College team.
The Corsairs won its 12 consecutive regular seaon contest. The Corsairs are coming off a 11-1 season in which saw it's only loss come in the first round of the NCAA playoffs. UMass Dartmouth got running touchdowns from quarterbacks Val Teixeira 2 yards, John Falcone 17 yds and wingback Wayne Homol 24 yds to put away Mount Ida College. The tough Corsair defense held the Mustangs to just 134 yards of total offense on the afternoon. UMass Dartmouth will next travel to Plymouth New Hampshire to play a 1 PM contest against Plymouth State College.
