(Dartmouth, MA) The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Corsairs will look to
challenge in the ECAC Northeast for an unprecedented ninth championship with a

for playing time include Jeff Grant (Burlington, MA/Austin Prep), Paul Garabedian

Ryan Grant (Braintree, MA/ Brewster Academy).

Five veterans and two freshmen will battle for positions along the blue line

including Koziara (1-11-12), juniors DJ Aucoin (Waltham, MA/ Waltham HS

2-17-19), David Cioch (Springfield, MA/ New England Jr. Coyotes), and Mike

Larkin (Braintree, MA/ Braintree HS), Sophomore Tyler Vrolyk (Boylston, MA/

New England JR. Coyotes 5-15-20), and Freshmen Jonathan Finn (Warwick, RI/

Boston Harborwolves) and Brian Chapin (Medway, MA/ Medway HS).

In goal senior Kevin McGowan (Hingham, MA/ Trinity-Pawling Prep) will get the

call.  McGowan enters his fourth season with a 34-9-1 record (.784), a 2.94

goals against average, and 2 shutouts.  Fellow senior Marc Barron (Marshfield,

MA/ Boston Harborwolves) will back up McGowan.

UMD, which lost in the ECAC Northeast semifinal game last season, will seek to

challenge league powers Curry and Wentworth in 2004-05.  Key non-conference

opponents include NESCAC Connecticut College and Tufts, Southern Maine and

UMass Boston from the ECAC East, and Lebanon Valley from the ECAC West.
