BRIDGEWATER, Mass.--  Junior Kyle McCullough (Danvers, Mass.) netted a goal and an assist, while freshman Jon Dryjowicz-Burek (Ludlow, Mass.) stopped 23 shots for his first collegiate shutout to lift UMass Dartmouth to a 3-0 ECAC Northeast ice hockey victory over Stonehill Wednesday evening at the Bridgewater Ice Arena.

Junior Peter Lindner (Parlin, N.J.) gave the visiting Corsairs (2-1, 1-0 ECAC Northeast) the only goal they would need 4:39 into the contest on feeds from senior Eric Frank (Waltham, Mass.) and sophomore Jeff Grant (Burlington, Mass.), and McCullough's marker 12:25 into the middle stanza on an assist from freshman Francis Gunn (Winthrop, Mass.) extended UMass Dartmouth's lead to 2-0 after 40 minutes of play.  McCullough and Gunn set up junior Jim Foley's (Brockton, Mass.) insurance tally with 6:42 to play in the contest to close out the scoring, and Dryjowicz-Burek took care of the rest to pick up the shutout triumph in goal for the Corsairs.

Senior Billy Petrucci (East Bridgewater, Mass.) made 11 first period saves in goal in the setback for the host Skyhawks (1-2, 0-2 ECAC Northeast), as juniors Matt Gorman (Southboro, Mass.) and Josh Green (Mendon, Mass.) recorded 14 and 17 stops, respectively, in the final two stanzas for Stonehill as UMass Dartmouth outshot the Skyhawks by a 45-23 margin for the contest.

Stonehill travels to Auburn, Mass. on Saturday evening to take on Nichols in a non-league outing that faces-off at 8:30 p.m., while UMass Dartmouth returns home for its home opener against Plymouth State Saturday afternoon in an ECAC Northeast match-up that begins at 4:30 p.m.
