UMass Dartmouth moves into Hampton Inn Classic finals with 84-59 victory over Curry College Colonels

(Dartmouth, MA) Paul Pawlowski scored 20 points and Jeff Hambley added 17 to lead UMass Dartmouth to an 84-59 victory over Curry College in the second game of the Hampton Inn Basketball Classic Friday night at the Tripp Center.

UMass Dartmouth (1-0) will take on MIT in the Hampton Inn Basketball Classic Championship at 5 p.m. on Saturday after the Engineers scored a 65-53 victory over Oneonta State University in the tournament’s opening game. Oneonta State University will take on Curry College in the consolation round game at 3 p.m.

Keenan Small was Curry College’s leading scorer with 18 points and Michael Mohrin added 11. Joseph Britto had 12 points for UMass Dartmouth and Devon Maiorano hit double figures for the Corsair with 11 points.

The Hampton Inn Basketball Classic championship game will be broadcast live on WSAR 1480 AM, beginning at 4:45 pm with Alex Stylos and Michael Conceicao.
