UMass Dartmouth's Chris Lapriore and Kerri Augenstein
named to 2004-05 Little East Conference All-Star teams

(Dartmouth, MA) - For a second consecutive season, UMass Dartmouth junior forward
Chris Lapriore
(Grafton, MA) has been named a First Team Little East Conference All-Star.
After another outstanding season for Coach Brian Baptiste's Corsairs which included leading
UMass Dartmouth with 18.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, Lapriore was a first team
selection in voting conducted by the LEC coaches and announced on Tuesday.

UMass Dartmouth's representative on the Little East Conference women's all-star team was
junior forward Kerri Augenstein (East Greenwich, RI).  An LEC Second Team selection, Augenstein
was one of Coach Mick Klitzner's steadiest players throughout the season.  She averaged
13.7 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in helping the Corsairs to a 13-13 overall record this season.

In 26 games during a 13-14 season for the UMass Dartmouth men, Lapriore was the Corsairs' top
player, leading the team in both scoring and rebounding.  He led the Corsairs in several other categories
including minutes played (739), field goals (186), shots (367), free throws made and attempted
(101-159, .635) and points (476).  He shot a team-high 50.7% from the floor and had team highs in
offensive rebounds (64) as well as defensive rebounds (187). Lapriore added 34 assists, 15 blocked
shots and 29 steals.

Lapriore was also among the LEC leaders in several individual categories during the 2004-05 season.
He finished second in offensive rebounding (2.62 per game), fourth in defensive rebounding (4.73 per game)
fourth in scoring, sixth in rebounding and seventh in field goal percentage.  As a sophomore LEC First Team
selection last season, Lapriore averaged 20.3 points and 8.9 rebounds per game for the Corsairs.

Augenstein was one of four Corsairs to appear in all 26 games this season as UMass Dartmouth's women
enjoyed their best season since going 13-12 in 1992-93.  Augenstein has been a key player to the Corsairs
two-year turn around under Klitzner (24-29 overall).

She was the Corsairs' leading scorer (357 points) and was second in rebounds (117 total).  Her 13.7 points
per game average placed her second in the LEC scoring race 1.2 points behind the LEC's leading scorer
Jaime Angell from Rhode Island College.

From the floor, Augenstein connected on 143-321(team-highs in both categories) for 44.5 shooting percentage
and was 9th overall in that category within the LEC. She also connected on 21 of 62 from beyond the three-point
line (33.9%) and made 50-66 from the free throw line (75.8%). Augenstein was credited with 38 assists, 35 steals
and six blocked shots.  Coming off the bench for the Corsairs as a sophomore last season, Augenstein
averaged 6.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
