Garcia takes first in triple jump at Tufts University meet

Jonathan Garcia (Stoneham, MA) had a first place finish in the triple jump and added a fourth in the 55-meter hurdles as the Corsairs competed at Tufts University on Jan. 24.

Garcia took the triple jump competition with a leap of 12.52 meters (41-01).  In the 55-meter hurdles, Garcia’s time of 8.09 seconds placed him fourth in the field.  Among the other Corsair men taking top spots at Tufts were Keoma Duarte (New Bedford, MA), who was third in the long jump with a leap of 6.08 meters (19-11 1/2).  Clayton Gullat (Gardner, MA) earned a fourth in the high jump with a jump of 1.88 meters (6-02).  Tom Adams (Longmeadow, MA) was seventh in the 55-meter dash in 6.93 seconds.  Lauren Mannarino (Mansfield, MA) had the top performance for the Corsair women with a ninth- place finish in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.98 seconds.
