UMass Dartmouth's Jon Garcia places 7th place in NCAA Division III

national indoor championships, earns All-America honors

 

(Bloomington, IN) - With his seventh place finish in the finals of the 55 meter hurdles at the NCAA
Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships, UMass Dartmouth sophomore
Jon Garcia (Stoneham, MA) earned Division III All-America honors. 

The NCAA Division III championship meet was hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University.


After placing fifth in his preliminary qualifying race on Friday with a time of 7.67, Garcia posted
nearly the same exact time in the finals (7.68), finishing seventh in the eight-man field and
earning All-America distinction as one of the top eight 55 meter hurdlers in NCAA Division III .
