Game notes: Keene State's D.J. Clattenburg scored the game-winner at 3:01 of overtime to lead the Owls to a 9-8 victory over UMass Dartmouth Saturday. The victory drops the Corsairs' record to 3-5 overall and 2-2 in the LEC. Keene State College improves its record to 6-1 and 3-1 in the LEC.
Trailing, 6-5, after three periods, UMass Dartmouth's Bryan Wallace tied the game with 13:25 to play with an assist from Ben Bradley. Less than four minutes later, the Corsairs took a 7-6 lead on Jeff McKee's unassisted goal with 9:48 to play. Joe Mirisola's unassited goal with 7:19 remaining gave the Corsairs an 8-6 lead before Keene State came back to tie the game in the final six minutes of play. Eric Monmie got the Owls to within one, 8-7, with a goal from Joe Branciforte at 5:52. Monmie struck again with 2:27 to play to tie the game, 8-8 and send it into overtime where Clattenburg netted the game-winner.
UMass Dartmouth will be back home again on Tuesday, April 16 when the Corsairs host UMass Boston in a Little East Conference game, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
