Ranked number one in the Little East Conference men's lacrosse coaches pre-season poll, Eastern Connecticut State University lived up to expectations with a 20-3 victory over UMass Dartmouth Saturday afternoon. UMass Dartmouth, ranked second in the pre-season poll, trailed 9-0 at the break and scored just three goals in the second half as the Warriors cruised to the easy victory.
ECSU's Chris McQuarrie led all scorers with three goals, while Marc Digiovanni, Chris Strycharz, and Ryan Perkoski each netted a pair of Eastern Connecituct, which improves its record to 5-2 on the season and 2-0 in the LEC. Jim Ruggeri, Jeff McKee and Joe Mirisola were the goal scorers for UMass Dartmouth (1-2 overall, 1-1 LEC).
The Corsairs will return to action on Wednesday, April 3 when they travel to Endicott College for a non-conference game at 7:00 p.m.
