The contest was a Little East Conference Tournament quarterfinal match-up. UMass Dartmouth's season's record stands at 13-5 while Eastern Connecticut's record stands at 5-15-1. UMass Dartmouth goalkeeper Jorge Fonseca (Ludlow, MA) recorded two saves to notch his seventh shutout of the season. UMass Dartmouth will travel to Plymouth New Hampshire on Friday to face Plymouth State College in a semi-final match starting at 4:00 PM. Plymouth State College defeated UMass Dartmouth 2-0 on October 27 at UMass Dartmouth. The winner will advance to play for the little east Conference crown on Sunday November 4 th against the winner of the Keene State College-Western Connecticut State University winner. The Little East Conference Tounament champion will play in the NCAA National Tournament later this fall.
