Corsair men finish fifth at the New England

Division III Championships

(Dartmouth, MA) – The UMass Dartmouth men’s swimming and diving team, who finished seventh last year, ended the New England Championships at the fifth seed.  The 2005 New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Championships consisted of 14 colleges and/or universities.  The event was hosted by Bentley College from February 18 to February 20, 2005.

Coach Cathy Motta’s Corsairs, who on the first day was placed fourth, were a consistent fifth place for the second and final day of the event.  UMass who was seventh last year, finished with a total of 272 points.  The host Bentley College, who also dominated the women’s meet, swam away with the win finishing with 518 points.
