BRIDGEWATER, MA-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s swimming teams each won their third consecutive matches in a meet that ended late Tuesday evening.

The Corsair women defeated Bridgewater State, 133-108, and the men downed the Bears, 123-98, at the BSC pool.

Each of UMD’s teams won seven events. For the women, senior Seanna McRae (East Taunton, MA/Taunton HS) won the 200 yard backstroke in 2:24.94 and the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:37.76, junior Meagan Coache (New Bedford, MA/New Bedford HS) won the 200 yard individual medley in 2:23.77, sophomore Katelyn Chase (Acushnet, MA/New Bedford HS) won the 200 butterfly in 2:23.92, senior Kelly Kidd (Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls HS) won both the one and three meter diving, winning the former with 210.90 points and the latter with 235.40 points, and the 400 medley relay team of Coache, Chase, junior Sarah Toltin (Sandwich, MA/Sacred Heart HS) and sophomore Hannah Blount (Nantucket, MA/Nantucket HS) finished first in 4:26.60.

For the men, senior Gino Leite (Fall River, MA/BMC Durfee HS) won the 200 butterfly in 2:12.20 and the 500 freestyle in 5:26.94, freshman Andrew DiBenedetto (North Andover, MA/North Andover HS) won the one meter diving with 180.16 points and the three meter diving with 167.40 points, sophomore Frank Pearson (Niantic, CT/East Lyme HS) won the 1000 freestyle in 11:23.65, senior Garrick Wong (Needham, MA/Needham HS) won the 200 backstroke in 2:13.87, and the 400 medley relay team of Wong, junior Nicolas Almeida (Auburn, MA/Auburn HS),  junior Tom Cakounes (Chelmsford, MA/Chelmsford HS) and junior Adam Barkley (Berea, OH/Berea HS) finished first in 3:59.13.

The Corsairs will return to action when they host the UMD Invitational Saturday afternoon.
