     CORSAIR MENS SWIMMERS PERFORM WELL AT ECAC D3 CHAMPIONSHIPS

SYRACUSE, NY-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s men’s swimming team turned in some good performances at the ECAC Division III Championships at the Max Newman Pool at Le Moyne College.

The 200 medley relay team of senior Gino Leite (Fall Rover, MA/BMC Durfee HS) and juniors Adam Barkley (Berea, OH/Berea HS), Nicolas Almeida (Auburn, MA/Auburn HS) and Tom Cakounes (Chelmsford, MA/ Chelmsford HS) finished 13^th in 1:48.06.Sophomore Frank Pearson (Niantic, CT/East Lyme HS) was 19^th in the men’s 1650 freestyle in 19:06.48.

The 800 medley relay team of Barkley, Cakounes, Pearson and Leite finished sixth in 7:56.88. Leite finished 12^th in the 200 butterfly in 2:07.74. And in the 100 freestyle, senior Garrick Wong (Needham, MA/Needham HS) was 20^th in 50.56 seconds, Almeida was 22^nd in 50.64, and Barkley was 29^th in 51.69.

The meet will conclude Sunday.
