First Day: UMD Ryan Paul #3 seed defeated Aaron Giang (Bridgewater State), 8-3

Will face #2 Justin Chaffe of Southern Maine in Saturday’s semi-finals

Second Day Update :Chris Paul (UMD) was defeated by Chaffee (6-1, 6-0) in the semi-finals

 

4^th singles

First Day: UMD Tim Hamilton #5 seed defeated #4 Jarad Stobie (Bridgewater State), 8-5

Will face #1 Mike Burke (USM) in Saturday’s semi-finals

Second Day Update: Tim Hamilton (UMD) was defeated by Burke (6-2, 6-1) in the semi-finals

 

#6 singles

First Day: UMD Josh McCoy #3 seed defeated #6 Chas Belliveau (Salem State), 8-6

Will face #2 Lorne Teeter (RIC) in Saturday’s semi-finals

Second Day Update: Josh McCoy (UMD) defeated Teeter (6-3,-6-1) and advanced to the #6 Singles Finals, before losing to #1 Jason Ouellette (USM) (6-4, 7-5) in the #6 Singles Finals

 

#2 doubles

First Day: UMD Chris Sims-Josh McCoy #1 seed advanced to the finals on Saturday

Opening round – bye

Semi-final round – defeated #4 David Forero and Henry Ryerson (WCSU), 8-6

Will face #2 seed Matt Kelly and Jeff Heath (Bridgewater State ) in Saturday’s finals

Second Day Update: Sims-McCoy (UMD) #1 seed defeated #2 Kelly and Heath (6-3-2-6, 7-5) to capture the Little East Conference #2 Doubles Championship

 

3^rd doubles

First Day: UMD Tim Hamilton – Jonas Shorrock #4 seed advanced to the semi-finals by defeating

#5 John Misuraca and Chas Belliveau (Salem State).

 Will meet #1 Chris Furey and Jason LaDuke (RIC) in Saturday’s semi-finals

Second Day Update: Hamilton and Shorrock (UMD) #4 seed defeated Furey-LaDuke (RIC) #1 seed    (2-6, 6-2, 6-4) before losing in the LEC #3 Doubles Championship match to #2 Jason Ouellette and Mike Burke (USM) (6-4). 6-1

 

Consolation Round Results

#2 Singles – Chris Sims (UMD) #5 seed defeated Brian Carlson (Salem State) #6 seed to win the Consolation Round in #2 Singles
