UMass Dartmouth's Lisa Satkevich named
Little East Conference Rookie of the Week

(Dartmouth, MA) - UMass Dartmouth first-year forward Lisa Satkevich (Quincy, MA)
was named the Little East Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday for her performances
in three Corsair women's basketball games last week.

In those three games for the Corsairs last week, Satkevich averaged 12.0 points and
4.0 rebounds as UMD went 2-1 with LEC wins over UMass Boston and Plymouth State University.  
She scored in double-figures twice, hitting for ten points and two rebounds in a 66-62 LEC win at
Plymouth State and a game-high 17 points with seven rebounds in a 61-56 non-conference loss to
Wheaton. Satkevich also scored nine points, along with three rebounds in a 74-64 LEC win over
UMass Boston last Tuesday.

In her first season with Coach Mick Klitzner's Corsairs, Satkevich has played an important role in
UMass Dartmouth's 10-9 overall record, 3-6 within the LEC.  Satkevich is tied for second in team
scoring for the Corsairs this season with a 9.1 points per game average and 3.6 rebounds per game.
She is shooting .496 from the floor (66-133) and has made 30-55 free throws (.545).  She has also
added 13 assists, 15 blocks and 15 steals, while averaging 21.8 minutes per game.

This is the second Rookie of the Week award for Satkevich who earned a similar honor on January 10. 
Satkevich played her high school basketball at Fontbonne Academy in Quincy, MA.
