Game Notes:
Trailing, 8-4 at halftime, and by as much as 10-5 early in the second half, Salve Regina outscored UMass Dartmouth, 7-1, over the final 23 minutes to win a come-from behind 12-11 victory over the Corsairs on Thursday in Dartmouth. Salve Regina improves to 2-3 on the season and the Corsairs fall to 2-1.
After UMass Dartmouth scored at the 12 minute mark of the second half to take a 11-10 lead, the Seahawks netted the final two goals of the game. Jacylene Linneweber netted the game-tying goal at 5:16 of the second half and Jennifer O�Brien scored the game-winner with 3:21 to play. Emily Valorz led the Corsairs with five goals, while Megan Corfield and Kristine Johnson added two each. Linneweber and O�Brien paced the Seahawks with four goals each.
UMass Dartmouth opens Little East Conference action this Saturday afternoon, April 6 when the Corsairs visit Keene State College for a 2:30 p.m. game.
