(Gorham, ME) -- After a tense first half, the Corsairs opened the 2nd half with 8 unanswered goals helping to propel them over Little East rival Southern Maine 16-4. Senior captain Megan Corfield (Framingham, MA) led the way with 5 goals, with Sophomore Katelyn Sullivan (New Bedford, MA) and Freshman Katelyn Elliott (Lowell, MA) contributing 3 goals each. Single goal scorers for the Corsairs included Mary Doherty (Loudonville, NY), Kristine Johnson (Walpole, MA), Candice Oyer (Carlisle, MA), Dre Travers (Weymouth, MA) and Alyssa Volinsky (Stoughton, MA).
UMass Dartmouth will return to action on Wednesday, April 21 when the Corsairs host Western Connecticut State in an LEC match up at Cressy Field. Game time is 4:00 pm
