Coach Bio:
Returning to UMass Dartmouth for the 2004 season is Jennifer Burrows. A former captain of the Corsairs Women’s Lacrosse program, she joins the coaching staff after spending four years in the program as a player, culminating in 2002. A native of Hubbarston, MA, Burrows was a standout in both lacrosse and field hockey while at UMD. She began playing lacrosse during her freshman year at UMass, playing defense for three years before moving to offense for her senior year.
Burrows quickly established herself as a premier athlete in the UMD program, bringing her athleticism from one sport to another without missing a beat. Described as being very capable and energetic, she stood out as one of the team’s leaders, named captain for her senior year. In that senior year, she switched from defense to offense without missing a beat, totaling great all-around offensive numbers of 37 goals and 16 assists for 53 points. She now brings all of her experience and energy to the team in a new capability as the team’s assistant coach.
A graduate of the Charlton College of Business with a degree in Business Management, she now resides in New Bedford, Massachusetts..
