Game notes: A late second half goal by St. Michael’s proved to be the difference in a season opening 9-8 loss for the UMass Dartmouth’s women’s lacrosse team in a non-conference game played in Bermuda on Thursday.
In her first varsity college game for UMass Dartmouth, Katelyn Elliott (Lowell, MA) led the Corsairs with four goals and an assist. Junior co-captain Kristine Johnson (Walpole, MA) added a pair of goals, while senior co-captain Meghan Corfield (Framingham, MA) and Katelyn Sullivan (New Bedford, MA) each added single goals. Senior co-captain Liz Holland (Quincy, MA) made 15 saves in a losing effort.
