Notes: UMass Dartmouth (7-5) led by senior Lisa Haynes (Pembroke, Bermuda) and freshman Emily Valorz (Milton, MA) three goals each defeated defending NEWLA Southern Division Champion Eastern Connecticut State University (10-4) by the score of 15-11 in the first round of conference tournament play. UMass Dartmouth will travel on Friday to face the number one seed in the Southern Division Bridgewater State College who stopped Endicott College by the score of 17-7. The semi-final contest will start at 4:00PM on the Bridgewater State campus.

The Corsairs trailed 7-6 at half but charged back with the fine offensive play of Valorz who tallied all of her goals in the second half. UMass Dartmouth goalkeeper sophomore Denise Saucier( Uxbridge, MA) stopped 16 shots in net. Eastern Connecticut was led by senior Sarah Romano (Waterbury, CT) who scored 4 times and senior Erin Byrnes (S. Windsor, CT) who scored three goals for the Warriors.
