CORSAIRS BLANK WILDCATS IN THE RAIN

The Corsairs won for the third time in four matches, defeating Johnson & Wales, 3-0, at rainy Cressy Field Thursday afternoon.
Senior midfielder Maura Armstrong started the scoring for UMass Dartmouth at the
UMD scored again, with just over nine minutes remaining in the first half. Freshman forward Sarah Killingbeck headed home a corner kick by sophomore midfielder Jackie Erbafina.
Erbafina scored the final goal of the day at the 56:13 mark. After a corner kick, the Wildcats failed to clear the ball, and Erbafina drove home a shot from eight yards out.

“This was a good win, coming off a tough loss Tuesday (2-0 to Roger Williams),” said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Alex Silva. “We played very well for most of the game. They came out strong at the start of the second half, and carried the play for about 15 minutes, but we weathered the storm. We played better towards the end of the second half.”
The Corsairs improved to 3-1 with the victory, while the Wildcats fell to 3-2 with the defeat. UMass Dartmouth will travel to
