UMass Dartmouth women swim to win over Eastern Connecticut
(Danbury, CT) -- The UMass Dartmouth Women's Swim Team wrapped up the first half of its season with a victory over Eastern Connecticut State University by a score of 155-95. The Corsairs’ women improved their record to (4-3).
Meaghan Coache (New Bedford, MA) and Traci Szyndlar (Rochester, MA) were both double winners for the Corsairs. Coache posted victories in the 100 Butterfly (1:02.96) and the 50 Butterfly(28.11), while Szyndlar won the 50 Breaststroke(37.39) and the 100 Breaststroke (1:20.67). Other winners for the Corsairs were Tara Conley (Westport, MA) in the 200 Freestyle (2:10.30), Seanna McRae (E.Taunton, MA) in the 50 Backstroke (30.69), Renee Gaudette (Pembroke, MA) in the 50 Freestyle (28.82), Amy Stucchi (Westboro, MA) in the 100 Freestyle (58.43), and Erika Szivos (Gardner, MA) in the 100 Backstroke (1:13.84). McRae, Cassie Bryant (Ipswich, MA), Stucchi, and Coache teamed up to win the 400 Medley Relay with a time of 4:21.88.
The Corsairs will return to action on January 10th for a home meet against WPI.
