Women’s and men’s swimming and diving:

UMass Dartmouth splits meet with Worcester Polytech

The UMass Dartmouth Corsairs’ swimming and diving teams split there first meet of the new year with Worcester Polytech Institute on Jan. 10

The Lady Corsairs were victorious by a score of 185-101.  Double winners for the Corsairs were Meaghan Coache (New Bedford, MA), Seanna McRae (E. Taunton, MA), and Amy Stucchi (Westboro, MA). Coache was victorious in the 100 Yd Freestyle (58.00) and the 100 Yd Butterfly (1:03.52).  McRae won the 100 Yd Backstroke (1:04.12) and the 200 Yd Breaststroke (2:40.54). And Stucchi captured the 200 Yd Butterfly (2:18.47) and the 400 Yd Individual Medley with a time of 4:58.21.  Coache, McRae, and Stucchi teamed up with Cassie Bryant (Ipswich, MA) to win the 400 Yd Medley Relay with a time of 4:22.05.  The Lady Corsairs also received victories from Tara Conley (1000 YD Freestyle), Bryant (100 Yd Breaststroke), Kate Denneen (1-Meter and 3-Meter Diving) and Jessica Fallon (E. Walpole, MA) in the 500 Yd Freestyle.  The relay team of McRae, Conley, Fallon, and Stucchi came away with a victory in the 800 Yd Freestyle Relay with a time of 8:51.55.
