WARM UP:

The pool will be available for warm up from 4-10 pm on Thursday.  Warm up times for Friday through Sunday will be distributed at our dinner meeting Thursday night.

 

The pool will open each day at 7:20am and teams will be assigned 40 minute warm-up times (7:20, 8:00, and 8:40) and these times will rotate each day.  A general warm up will occur at 9:20am. 

Evening warm-up is a general warm-up.

 

At 9:30am and 5:30 pm, Lanes 5 and 6 will be pace lanes and 1 and 2 will be sprinting lanes.

 

During the trials and finals, the diving well will serve as a warm down area. 

 

SHAVING:  No shaving is allowed in the locker rooms.

 

TIME TRIALS:

Time trials will take place at the conclusion of each morning sessin for a fee of $5.00 per swim.  Entry cards will be available at the starter's platform

 

SEATING:

There will be assigned deck seating based on team size.  ONLY athletes and coaches are allowed on the deck at all times.  All spectators must use the seating provided upstairs.

Please encourage your athletes to bring a lock and lock their bags in the locker rooms.

 

TICKETS: Spectator seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis for each session.  Tickets will be available for a full day ($10) or $5 for the trials and $7 for finals.  Tickets will be sold in the lobby of the Tripp Athletic Center.

CONCESSIONS:  There will be a concession stand open during the meet.

 

ENTRIES:  Hytek entries are required and are due on Friday, February8th by midnight.  Email to cmotta@umassd.edu.  Verification of entries will be emailed to each coach.  Entry fees

are $15 per athlete and coach.  Please make checks payable to NEISDA and mail to Jim Donoghue or hand carry to meet. 

 

TRAINER:

A trainer will be available in the training room during warm-ups for both morning and evening sessions and will be on site throughout the meet.  Please have your athletic trainer contact ours

with any special needs that are needed.

PARKING:
Spectators and buses should park in lots 7 or 8 or in any non residential spaces on Ring Road.  No vehicles will be allowed to park behind the Tripp Athletic Center.

 

COACHES MEETING:

There will be a meeting for the coaches at 6pm in the Woodland Commons area across from the athletic center.

 

RELAY DECLARATION: 

Relay declaration cards will be found in your coaches packets and will also be available at the administrative table.  Cards are due 10 minutes before the start of the relays.

 

RELAY TAKE OFF

Each team is assigned duty as a relay take off judge.  The assignments will be listed at the administrative table and behind the blocks.  Please report behind the blocks prior to the start of

each relay that you are judging.

 

AWARDS

 The top 18 women will count towards scoring.  Six divers will advance to the final round.  The top six individuals and the top three relays will receive medals.

 

SCORING

Relays   52-44-42-40-38-36-32-26-24-22-20-18-14-12-8-6-4-2

Individual Events  26-22-21-20-19-18-16-13-12-11-10-9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

 

Except in timed final events, points for the first six places shall be awarded solely on the basis of the championship final.  Points for 7th through 12th place shall be awarded solely on the

basis of the consolation final and the points for 13th through 18th place shall be awarded solely on the basis of the bonus final. 

 

800 FREE RELAY

All of the heats of the 800 Free Relay will be swum as a timed final at night.  Seeding will be based on submitted entry times.

 

1000 FREESTYLE

The 1000 Freestyle will be swum after the conclusion of the swimming trials on Saturday.  It will be swum fastest to slowest heats.

 

1650 FREESTYLE

The final heat will be swum at night.  Trials will be swum at the conclusion of the swimming trials on Sunday following the 400 Freestyle Relay.  Heats will be swum fastest to slowest.

 

DIVING

Diving trials and finals will take place between trials and finals on Saturday and Sunday.  There will be an hour warm-up and competition will begin no earlier than 1:30pm.

 

PROTESTS

A formal protest must be submitted in writing to the meet director.  The meet committee will make the final decisions.

 

QUALIFYING TIMES

Qualifying times submitted on the psyche sheet may be challenged before Thursday night scratch deadline; coaches ill be asked to provide proof of qualifying.  If no proof can be shown,

the swimmer will be disqualified from that event.  If a swimmer does not meet the qualifying standard at the meet, that time can be challenged as well.  Relay splits are not permitted for use

as entry times unless it is the lead off split.

 Psyche sheets should be posted by Wednesday, February 13th at 6pm.

 

COACHES SOCIAL:   We are hoping to have a coach’s social on Saturday evening after

Finals.  Specifics will be discussed at the Thursday evening coaches meeting.
