The Corsairs won their second match at home without a defeat, downing, Newbury, 8-1, Tuesday afternoon.
UMD swept all six singles matches, and then won two of three doubles contests. Freshman Noelle Judd (
“We played well,” said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Ralph Perry. “I switched our doubles teams around, so they didn’t play with their normal partners, and it worked out very well. It was a nice win for our team, everyone looked pretty good. (Freshman) Becky Bullock (Wrentham, MA/King Phillip HS) had an outstanding match. Everyone had a chance to play today.”
The Corsairs improved to 3-2 with the victory, while the Nighthawks fell to 1-3 with the defeat. UMass Dartmouth will return to action when they visit
