LEWISTON, ME-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth volleyball team split their first two matches at the Bates Invitational Friday.

The Corsairs defeated Worcester State in three games, 30-19, 30-26 and 30-19. UMass Dartmouth then fell to Bowdoin in four games, 23-30, 18-30, 30-28 and 23-30.

With the split, UMD is now 6-7 for the season. The Corsairs will play Johnson & Wales and host Bates Saturday.
