                                    CORSAIRS DOWN GREYHOUNDS IN HOME OPENER

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-Plymouth State defeated the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth volleyball team, 30-20, 30-24 and 30-18 in a Little East Conference volleyball match at the Tripp Athletic Center Tuesday evening.

The Corsairs grabbed an early lead in the first game, but the Panthers came back to win and then took the next two games.

Freshman libero Aly Zagame (Greenfield, MA/Greenfield HS) led UMD with 15 digs. Sophomore middle hitter Nazareth Cardoso (Brockton, MA/Brockton HS) added 10 kills, freshman middle hitter Hilary Teichart (Bourne, MA/Bourne HS) added six kills and two blocks, and junior setter Lauren Daly (Brockton, MA/Brockton HS) had 29 assists and seven digs.

UMass Dartmouth dropped to 7-9 and 2-3 in Little East Conference play with the defeat, while PSU improved to 17-7 and 5-0. The Corsairs will return to action when they visit Roger Williams Saturday.
