The Donald C. Howard Leadership Program is devised to give students leadership experience and training. The program is designed around a multi-level curriculum consisting of required and elective workshops. Throughout these one-hour interactive workshops students learn the theories of leadership, learn who they are as a leader, and learn methods and tools to apply what they learned to their everyday live. This program is great for students interested in furthering their leadership skills or for students who just want to learn about certain aspects of leadership.

Currently the DCH Leadership Program consists of two different certificate programs. Each certificate program has required and elective sessions offered each semester. To earn a certificate, students need to complete the following:
- Attend the four required and four other elective sessions
- Submit a two page reflection for each session they attended (8 reflections total)
- Complete the capstone project for the certificate they are working towards
The Bronze level certificate is the introduction to the DCH program. The sessions offered in this level focus on specific skills that all students would benefit from. The four required sessions for Bronze are:
- Leadership Concepts
- Developing your Communication Skills
- Teambuilding
- Conflict Resolution
Some examples of past Bronze elective sessions are:
- Effective Meetings
- Basic Budge Management
- Stress & Your Health
- Planning Programs & Major Events
- Time Management
- Inventive Fundraising
The Silver level certificate offers student leaders a better understanding of who they are as leaders as well as the inner workings of groups. The four required Silver sessions are:
- Diversity and Leadership
- Leading with Integrity
- Goal Setting
- Group Dynamics

- Personality Type: MBTI
- Assertiveness Training
- Transferring Leadership to Your Resume
- Appreciative Leadership
- Understanding Power
- Creating Your Positive Image
