What is MTVU?

"Finally - your channel for everything college: mtvU. We're loaded up with music you won't see anywhere else, updates from MTV News and CBS News produced exclusively for the college audience, information on how to score killer jobs and internships, the 411 on traveling abroad and everything else that makes college, well...college.

mtvU is the definitive college network for students at universities across the country. You can find us on over 730 campuses, reaching over 6.5 million students in dining halls, student lounges, fitness centers, and dorm rooms. And just like you, we're always on: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can catch mtvU when you're late-night cramming, on your way to class, or lounging on the weekend.

But mtvU is way more than just TV. Having mtvU at your school means access to concert tours and on campus events; it means anyone from Senator John McCain to Sting might Stand In for your professors and teach your classes for a day; it means you can take a Study Break and fly somewhere to hang out with bands like Taking Back Sunday and Jack Johnson; it means making some room in your day for 15 Minutes WITH Fame so you can interview celebrities and moguls like Ted Turner, Common and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Every semester we scope out mtvU schools for the best talent college has to offer. Music, film, animation - whatever your passion, mtvU kicks open doors to give you a shot at your big break. Plus, with our mtvU-Grants, we put our money where your heart is, giving away $1500 a week to deserving student organizations that are making a difference in their community. mtvU is your channel for everything college. Jump in. We've saved you a seat up front."
