Sororities

Alpha Sigma Tau
- Alpha Sigma Tau is a family full of amazing women. We include ladies who are individually full of ambition, creativity, strength, and life. We come together to form one tightly knit sorority that is connected by the heart. AST is more than an extra activity to do on UMass’s campus. It is a way of life throughout your college years, and also after college. The support of your sisters creates a feeling of openness, and ability to be yourself no matter what. It becomes your family away from home, your best friends, the women who hold your happiest memories and, most of all, a sisterhood that lasts forever. AST has been on campus for over five years now. Throughout this short amount of time, Alpha Sigma Tau has learned to grow and develop tremendously in many aspects of the sorority. No matter what you are looking for, whether it is family, good times, friends, academic help, laughter, or support, you can find it in Alpha Sigma Tau.

Delta Pi Omega - Delta Pi Omega is a local sorority at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth that is open to all female students. The sisters of Delta Pi Omega are devoted to trust and honesty as well as the encouragement of personal growth. We also look to create an environment that is conducive to such personal growth where the sisters can support each other and progress together to reach our goals as individuals as well as a sorority. As women leaders, we are dedicated to educating and supporting each other as we face the challenges we encounter on a daily basis but most importantly, it is through the friendships we build that we reach for this common goal.

Phi Sigma Sigma - The Phi Sigma Sigma Sorority, a National Panhellenic member, is a unique organization of women dedicated to academic excellence, community involvement, and philanthropy services. Public relation and fundraising events are also a big part of Phi Sig. The sisters of Phi Sigma Sigma are interested in recruiting women with a good sense of character and a desire to learn and serve in their community. As a nonsectarian society, the sorority embraces diversity as well and the individuality of its members. Becoming a sister of Phi Sigma Sigma means devoting a lifetime to bettering her community as well as advancing in her own personal goals.

Fraternities

Chi Phi
- Chi Phi is a fraternity founded nationally in 1824 and locally in 2003. Built on the three principles of Truth, Honesty and Personal Integrity and deeply rooted in ritual; Chi Phi seeks to built better men through lifelong friendships, leadership opportunities, and character development.

Phi Kappa Theta - The Kappa Theta Chapter of Phi Kappa Theta was founded three years ago with one main principle in mind: breaking the stereotype of fraternities. We knew that we could combine our social lives, academics, ties with the school and the surrounding community, and our sense of brotherhood and center it all on an atmosphere of mutual respectability. Starting from nothing on April 20th, 2002 we worked our way up to being the largest fraternity on campus. Just recently on October 9th, 2004 we received our charter from our national headquarters making us the only chapter of Phi Kappa Theta to become national in less than two and a half years. We look for gentlemen who share the same ideals as us, and nothing more and nothing less. Check out Phi Kappa Theta for yourself… http://www.umdphikaps.org/ for updated rush events and other information.
