Where should a student go if he or she can't make a hearing?

The student should call the hearing officer that is assigned to them and leave a DETAILED message, including name, phone number, and maybe even student identification number. It is then the students responsibility to follow up with the hearing officer to reschedule. Failure to reschedule within a few days can result in the hearing happening without the student present.
