Welcome to UMass Dartmouth!

Starting a college career can be exciting and sometimes overwhelming. That is why we have designed a special Orientation Program to welcome all our new students to campus. This is your introduction to the University and your opportunity to let us help you make the transition as smooth as possible.

Coming to Orientation will give you an early opportunity to:

• familiarize yourself with the campus
• meet other students
• finalize your course selection for the semester prior to when your classes begin

During this orientation program, you'll receive academic advising and meet faculty advisors, peer counselors, and staff members who will be ready to work closely with you.

In addition to important workshops on topics related to starting your academic career as a Corsair, we've planned social and recreational activities especially for you.

Through working and participating in small groups, you'll meet other students and gain a better understanding of some of the important issues on today's college campuses. You'll also become familiar with our campus and the resources available to you. Each student will receive individual attention in these small groups.

We believe you will find orientation an enjoyable and informative experience. We're anxious to meet you and look forward to your arrival on campus!
