Transfer students attend either Early Summer, Late Summer, or January Orientation, depending on when they applied and were accepted to the University. Transfer Orientation is held on the following dates:
January Orientation for First Year Students & Transfer Students: Thursday, January 23, 2014
Early Summer Transfer Orientation: Thursday June 6th, 2013
Late Summer Orientation for First Year Students & Transfer Students: Monday, August 26th, 2013
**Please note, there is no Family Orientation component to Transfer Orientation.**
For those attending, you should bring your transcript, and a current photo ID (Driver's License, etc.) to get a UMass Pass. In addition, if you want to pick up your Parking Decal you must complete the online registration form in advance. Please click here to register your vehicle online. You must present your UMass Pass and printed confirmation page when picking up your parking decal at the Parking Office.
Please park in Lots 4 & 5
Continental breakfast and lunch are included
7:30AM Placement Testing - math & foreign language (for those who did not do so previously) LARTS 202 & 203
9:30AM Check-In at the MacLean Campus Center
10:00AM Orientation Sessions (mandatory) - until approximately 4:00PM
Orientation sessions will include information on Financial Aid, First Year Student "Heart to Heart", Transfer Student Survival Skills, Living on Campus, Commuting, Academic Advising, Course Registration, Getting the UMass Pass (student i.d.) as well as options for tours, visits to the bookstore and parking office.
