PsiChi

UMass DartmouthPsi Chi Member Point System

All Psi Chi members are thoroughly encouraged to be active members in this rewarding national honor society.  Along with numerous other benefits, one would include receiving your Psi Chi honor chord upon commencement.  A point system has been established to ensure a more gratifying experience during your academic voyage as a UMass Dartmouth Psi Chi member.  Remember: although there are point requirements to receive your honor chord, upon induction you are an automatic lifetime member!

All members are required to earn a minimum of 50 points for their senior year to qualify for Psi Chi Honor cords upon graduation.  Additionally, Juniors are required to earn 75 points between their junior and senior years, but no more than 50 points may be earned in one scholastic year.  100 points are required for Sophmores over the course of their career at UMD and no more than 50 points may be earned in any scholastic year. Points may be earned by participating in activities such as fundraising, advertising, attending meetings, volunteering at designated seminars, etc..

If you are having difficulties making it to our meetings or attending activities because of other responsibilities, please inform one of the officers or advisors, so we can potentially organize other ways for you to participate.

If you have any questions on how many points you have, feel free to e-mail the Psi Chi secretary, Sylvia, at:
