Financial aid awards for fall 2024
For the 2024-25 aid year, it will be easier for families to complete the FAFSA with the streamlined FAFSA application. UMassD anticipates sending first-year student awards letters in late April/early May. Returning students can still expect their initial award letters in late May/early June.
Levels Of Employment
Level 1 - Entry level, no experience needed. Requires direct supervision.
Level 2 - Previous experience or knowledge needed. Can work with moderate supervision.
Level 3 - Proficiency, specialized knowledge or experience needed. Can work independently with little supervision.
Level 4 - Demands highly specialized skill and/or knowledge. Can work independently with little supervision.

Federal Work Study And Non-Work Study
- Level 1- $14.25 - $15.24
- Level 2 - $15.25 - $16.24
- Level 3 - $16.25 - $17.24
- Level 4 - $17.25 - $18.00
Technical/Specialized Skills
- Level 5 - $16.50 - $17.49
- Level 6 - $17.50 - $18.49
- Level 7 - $18.50 - $20.49
- Level 8 - $20.50 - $22.50
