"I will always be proud to be an alumni."

Tell us about your involvement with New Student Orientation.

I've been involved with the New Student Orientation program since 2010. Being involved with this program allowed me to meet a wonderful group of students who came from various backgrounds and majors.

The university administrators who were involved with the program were an amazing resource throughout the program and throughout the school year.

The leadership skills I acquired from working for Orientation helped me obtain an internship at a prestigious insurance company known for its outstanding customer service.

What makes UMass Dartmouth special?

UMass Dartmouth is constantly changing and evolving to support its students. Since my career as a college student began, the Campus Center and Library have been renovated. The gym is currently in the process of being renovated for the benefit of athletes and non-athletes alike.

Arnie pointing Arnie, our Corsair mascot, is also something to be proud of. It wasn't until my sophomore year that Arnie was introduced, and it is apparent that he's been making mascot friends from Boston and beyond. As a result, the UMass Dartmouth community is represented in a positive manner.

UMass Dartmouth will continue to grow, and I will always be proud to be an alumni.

What advice would you like to share with future students?

Get involved! College is what you make of it. One positive experience can pave the way for many more to come. By becoming involved, you open yourself up to opportunities to meet people outside your major but who share your interests.

College is the quickest few years of your life—make the most of it!

Who would you like to thank?

I would like to thank my parents for their support and guidance throughout the past four years. They have provided me with their wisdom and patience when I needed it the most. I couldn't have done it without them. I would also like to thank my friends and family for standing by my side and cheering me on.

Also, I would like to thank SAIL and the Orientation program, the library staff, professors, facilities, the Career Development Center and anyone else who has helped me along the way.
