What makes UMass Dartmouth special?

What makes UMass Dartmouth special are the students, professors, and staff because without all of them there wouldn't be a university.

Another thing I believe really makes UMass Dartmouth special is how it's very diverse. One is able to learn about many different cultures, and learning about different cultures helps us to be more educated and sensitive of other people's feelings, so we don't hurt one another by the things we say.

Who's your favorite professor and why?

One of the best professors I've had at UMass Dartmouth has to be Susan Savaria for English 102. It's great to see a professor who goes out of her way to help students that need it. Not only that, but she truly cares about her students. She's a smart young woman and is always so eager to teach her students new things. I learned a lot from her class, and she was someone that really helped me to choose my major. She is really a wonderful person.

Tell us about a great experience or opportunity you've had here at UMass Dartmouth.

Perhaps one of the greatest experiences or opportunities I've had here at UMass Dartmouth has been the opportunity to work for the College Now program as a peer counselor. At times it gets tough, yet I still have to say that it has been really great and something that I'll never forget, even when I graduate.

I love working with other students and being a part of their achievements here at UMass Dartmouth. I always want to serve as a role model to them and someone they know they can always count on. I work with some of the brightest students ever, and I wish them all success with their studies here at UMass Dartmouth.
