Jeremy Brendan Dias

Major: BS, Nursing
Hometown: Middleborough, MA
"I have learned to become a part of as many organizations as you can because the more you do, the more people you meet, and the more opportunities you have to make a difference in someone's life. "
What do you plan to do after graduation?
I have attained a job at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, which is ranked the #1 hospital in the world. I'll be working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as a Registered Nurse, and intend to go back to school within the next three years to become a nurse anesthetist.
What organizations did you belong to at UMass Dartmouth?
I was a brother of Theta Delta Chi Fraternity. It taught me about the importance of brotherhood, and intellectual, moral, and social improvement. I also was a Resident Assistant, and a member of Sigma Theta Tau which is the honor society for nursing. I became a part of all of these organizations along with many others due to my involvement in Theta Delta Chi. Becoming a member of all of these organizations really made my college experience the best it could be.
What have you learned from other students?
I have learned to be myself, work hard, have fun, and always be open and willing to try and learn new things.
What have you learned that's made a difference to you?
I have learned to become a part of as many organizations as you can because the more you do, the more people you meet, and the more opportunities you have to make a difference in someone's life.
Who would you like to thank?
I would like to thank all of my professors, fraternity brothers, residential life staff and fellow RAs, Student Affairs staff and faculty, and friends and family for making these past four years at UMass Dartmouth the best years of my life.
