Major: BS, Finance
Hometown: South Dartmouth, MA
"Being part of student organizations has allowed me to become a more prepared and effective leader."
What do you plan to do after graduation?
I plan to attend graduate school and attain my ALM (Master's of Liberal Arts) in Management. My major fits into my life plans by helping me learn to lead strategically.
What organizations did you belong to at UMass Dartmouth?
I've been involved in several student organizations, served as vice president of the Finance Club, and have held several executive board positions in SIFE: Students In Free Enterprise. These experiences have allowed me to become a more prepared and effective leader, and I plan to use what I've learned about leadership here at UMass Dartmouth in my future endeavors.
I've also been elected to Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society for business students, and the Golden Key International Honor Society for undergraduate students.
What makes UMass Dartmouth special?
The people. At the end of the day, UMass Dartmouth is just a set of buildings located in North Dartmouth. The faculty and staff are what make this University extraordinary. They are truly what makes UMass Dartmouth a special place.
What's one thing at UMass Dartmouth that no student should miss?
Don't miss the cement. It's all over the campus! Also don't forget stir-fry day in the commuter cafe is usually on a Thursday! (I'm going to miss it).
Who would you like to thank?
I would like to thank my personal advisor during the four years I spent here, Godwin Ariguzo. He is a motivator and can motivate his students to achieve more out of life. Thanks, Godwin!
