"There are so many ways to get involved on this campus and by passing those up, you truly aren't getting the full experience UMass Dartmouth has to offer."

What organizations have you belonged to at UMass Dartmouth?
Getting involved with the Campus Activities Board and then joining Greek Life with Iota Delta Nu has helped me grow as an individual and has taught me how to work together with others as a team. Without getting involved on campus, I would not be the same person that UMass Dartmouth has made me into. It really made my college experience.
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan on working full-time for the YMCA through an internship that I had this year. I work with an adventure-based counseling program with high risk teens. The counseling track in the psychology program definitely prepared me for this.
What was your greatest challenge?
Having to pay my own way through school. It's tough but I made it. There were many hardships and long hours of work but in the end it was all worth it. I've learned a great work ethic from it and learned how to get things done when push comes to shove.
What's your message for future students?
Get involved!! It's so cliche, but honestly it really helps you develop skills useful for the real world, and you make life-long connections. There are so many ways to get involved on this campus and by passing those up, you truly aren't getting the full experience UMass Dartmouth has to offer.
Who would you like to thank?
I would like to thank my twin sister Jen for always being there and being the best roommate; without her I wouldn't have made it this far. I'd like to thank the sisters of Iota Delta Nu for their help in making my college experience amazing. My friends and family: through ups and downs they have always supported me. And last but not least, my office "moms" in the Student Affairs office for always helping me out.
