"I know that I cannot change the world, but if I can make a difference in one child's life, then I know I'm doing my life's work."

What do you plan to do after graduation?
After graduation, my plan is to teach English to middle and high school students. I want to return to teach in the Boston school system--one that offered great challenges to me, but also afforded me some great opportunities. I know that I cannot change the world, but if I can make a difference in one child's life, then I know I'm doing my life's work.
What have you learned that's made a difference to you?
I learned that taking responsibility for everything you do is key. Stepping out of your comfort zone and trying new things make for great experiences. I know that many people look up to me, and my goal is to lead, so others can follow. Anyone can become a leader as long as they have a strong level of character.
What advice would you like to share with future students?
Don't be afraid to get involved here on campus. In order to fully gain the college experience, one needs to enjoy both the social and academic aspects of the university. Things here are always changing, and the willingness to adapt and work with change is a great skill to have.

At the end of the day, college is what you make of it. Don't be the one who's left feeling that time passed you by and regret not stepping up to the plate.

Who would you like to thank?
I want to thank everyone who constantly stayed on top of me to make sure I was not slacking. I appreciate all the professional staff members that gave me a chance to become a leader and much more. Thanks to all--I will never forget all your support and care.
