"Playing a sport is fun and an awesome way to meet friends and upperclassmen. I’m a more dedicated and organized person because of college sports."
How does your major fit into your life’s plan?
There are so many aspects to majoring in Fine Arts, it was hard to choose. I narrowed it down to graphic design because I felt it was where I could be the most creative. In the future, I know I don’t want to be sitting in a cubicle blending in with the other employees. I want to stand out, and put my best work forward.
Tell us something you’re involved with here.
I’m involved in varsity lacrosse. I also played varsity soccer my freshman year.
I love playing sports at college because it keeps me focused and organized. I always hear other classmates say how they used to play sports in high school but don’t in college because they wouldn’t have time. Trust me, you have time. If you’re worried you won’t have any social life and no time for your schoolwork, you’re wrong. Being on a team is where you meet your friends, and who you go out with on the weekends.

What advice do you have for incoming students?
Meet new people, play some kind of sport, be open to everything, go to class (even on Fridays), make sure your professor knows who you are, and just enjoy the ride because college is the best four years of your life.
