What clubs, activities and organizations did you participate in at UMass Dartmouth?

I had the opportunity to do so much. In my four years here, I've attained many leadership roles, one of which was President of the Student Senate. Through this, I learned what it means to be a leader.

I've been involved in the life of the campus as a Resident Assistant for three years and as an Orientation Leader for two years. I've served as the Sodexo Dining Services Promotions Coordinator and as the news editor of our student newspaper, The Torch.

I've also represented the university to current and prospective students on UMass Dartmouth's Facebook, Myspace and Twitter social media sites.

What's special about UMass Dartmouth?

I absolutely love the architecture of this university. There's simply no other place like it.

I also love the close-knit community found within Ring Road. The university is small enough to maintain community between students, staff, and faculty, yet large enough to let you see and meet new people everyday.

What's one thing that no UMass Dartmouth student should miss?

No student should miss out on the bountiful leadership opportunities offered through the many clubs and organizations at UMass Dartmouth. There are just some things you cannot learn inside the classroom.

Who would you like to thank?

From the very depths of my heart, I would like to thank everyone at UMass Dartmouth who has helped me become who I am today.

These wonderful people of UMass Dartmouth can be found all over campus: the Student Affairs and Public Affairs offices, the Dining Services office, the Public Safety department, Pine Dale Hall, the SAIL Office, and even the Garden Toss and Underground Café.
