The Office of Campus and Communty Sustainability publishes the Sustainability Almanac, a weekly digest of sustainability news and events via an email subscription.
Fall Farmer's Markets @ UMass Dartmouth
Fall Farmers Markets at UMass Dartmouth are a recent addition to our campus sustainability work. Launched in 2007 through the initiative of a motivated undergraduate student, Ellie Early, the Farmers Market was seen as a way to support local agriculture, provide our campus community access to fresh, delicious produce, and an opportunity to continue educating about the connections between food and sustainability. Held Fridays in September and October on the patio outside the Campus Center, the Farmers Markets offer a taste of locally grown fruits and organic vegetables from local farmers as well as fair-trade wares and baked goods from local businesses and operations.
