As a new and urgent enterprise, Sustainability is growing at UMass Dartmouth in all of its forms - studies, research, green campus renovations, campaigns, community outreach, and international participation.
The University pursues state, federal and foundation grants for its activities, but studies show that most philanthropic support for nonprofit ventures comes from individual donations.
Please consider helping to underwrite or participate in our sustainability initiatives, research, community or office operations.
Perhaps one of our most efficient uses of funding is supporting work hours for graduate students and interns. These students accomplish high-skill-level initiatives for the office, while also contributing directly to their own learning experiences.
Another far-reaching investment comes in the form of providing our professors with "release time" to write new curriculum for sustainability studies. Laying this groundwork sets a future of knowledge-building for all students who follow and for networks of sustainability experts who are sharing evolving perspectives around the globe.
