Why Advertise?
Every week, The Torch prints 3,000 newspapers which are read by students, faculty and staff. Torch readers are a very specific target market. By advertising in the Torch, merchants and vendors can reach a large population with similar qualities and characteristics. This can be a very successful venture for businesses whose clients and customers lie within this specific population.

Submission Deadlines
All display and classified ads must be submitted on the Friday before the publication date, by 12:00pm. Ads that need to be design must be submitted the Thursday prior to the publication date. All Ad cancellations must be made by 12PM on the Friday prior to publication for the advertiser to expect to be excused from payment for reserved space.

Ad Design
For all ads needed to be designed, that is images/logos scanned, type to be set, enlarged or shrunk, there is a $30.00 design fee prior to the ad being printed. The ad will be faxed or mailed for the customer to make any and all corrections before newspaper publication.

Billing
All advertisers will be billed within 2 weeks of publication. Payment is due 30 days from the date of invoice, unless an arrangement has been made with the advertising manager. Payment not made within the terms will be charged an additional 10% of the total due as a late fee.

Fine Print
Make-good and refund disputes will be considered on an individual basis if submitted in writing within one week after publication. Credit will be for the first incorrect insertion only. The liability of the Torch shall not exceed the cost of the advertisement in which the error occurred. Discounts are not retroactive, nor do they apply to design services. Any advertiser who places advertising in the Torch, directly or through a chosen representative, accepts these terms and conditions and is responsible for upholding them.
