Sudoku

Sudoku

Sudoku is made up of a 9 x 9 playing field with numbers from 1 to 9 scattered throughout. The object of the game is to fill every column, row and 3 x 3 box with the numbers 1 through 9, without repeating any numbers in any given column, row or box.

The difficulty level of the puzzles will change from week to week. Some will be easy. Some will be moderate. Some will make you want to cry. It’s gonna be a grab bag, so hang on.

If you get stuck, the answers can be found here, but don’t give in unless you absolutely cannot do it! What fun is finishing it if you had to cheat?

Horoscopes

ARIES
March 24 - April 19
The new semester has just begun and you are not satisfied with your classes. Be sure you take the time this weekend to revamp your schedule. Don’t give up too soon; constantly look for the classes and times you want. Something will open.

TAURUS
April 20 - May 20
After being on break for five weeks, not working whatsoever, you have become rather lazy. Sleeping in until 2 p.m. every day during the break is severely hurting you now. You are already missing classes and assignments. Make sure your alarm clock is placed far away from your bed to reduce the risk of shutting it off and falling back asleep.

GEMINI
May 21 - June
You are missing those homemade meals right now. Res is just not the same and you have begun to eat less and less. This is unhealthy for your body and mind. Encourage your friends in the Dell and Woodlands to throw dinner parties so you can indulge in savory meals once again.

CANCER
June 22 - July 22
Because you are so used to not being in the classroom, you have grown addicted to text messaging. You are missing out on important information that is said both inside and outside the classroom. Learn when it is appropriate to use text messaging and when it can be saved for later.

LEO
July 23 - August 22
Those 8 a.m. classes are definitely going to be the death of you. You are not an early bird, so do not put your academic life on the line just to try to be. Change all your classes to later times where possible.

VIRGO
August 23 - September 22
You are having trouble affording all the expensive textbooks that are required for your classes this semester. Find friends or make friends in those classes and see if splitting the cost of one book may be the best solution for the two of you.

LIBRA
September 23 - October 22
It’s time to start your first paper of the spring semester. You are having difficulty getting back into the swing of things, especially being on your computer and not constantly checking Facebook or your AIM buddy list. It may be challenging, but sign off those websites and focus your mind on that paper. Your grade will be more than worth it.

SCORPIO
October 23 – November 21
You have a small-sized class with your ex who you feel quite uncomfortable around now. However, you need this class and are highly interested in it; it is the only course of its subject available. Sit on the other side of the classroom for the time being and try to forget about relationships and focus on academics.

SAGITTARIUS
November 22 - December 21
You are having trouble understanding one of your first assignments of the spring semester and you are unsure who to turn to. Try your RA because if he or she can help, he or she will be more than glad to work with you.

CAPRICORN
December 22 - January 19
It’s the first week of classes, which usually means a light workload. So, you have been partying hard and putting off the simple assignments given by your professors. If you do not learn to balance your social life and academic life, you will have more work than you bargained for this coming Sunday.

AQUARIUS
January 20 - February 18
You were so wrapped up in watching “American Idol” the other night that your assignment, which is due tomorrow, slipped your mind. You are busy until nightfall today, but you must get this done, as your professor does not accept late work. Looks like this is going to be a long night for you; make some coffee or drink some Red Bull.

PISCES
February 19 - March 20
Your week is going smoothly. Keep up the good work and do not begin to slack off or procrastinate. You will be rewarded in the end.

Poetic Perfection

Original Misleading

Let’s see if time will give us the words
Let’s see if time will give us our judgment
Give us our comforts, give us our hopes
Or rain on our coats, and soak every note

Written by time pieced gently aside
As to wait for another person astride
To collect every word and unveil every song
That used to be times, yet now it’s all wrong

Our words aren’t retraced and our judgment is off
Our comforts are garbage and our hopes have new locks
I can feel the rain like never before I don’t have a coat
I couldn’t care less anymore

Just to feel how it felt was enough of a high
A euphoric dive into these “notes” of mine
A lyrical dosage of time after time
I lost the words; I lost my mind

Addictive

I can no longer tell fact from fiction
Your fallacious love has become my worst addiction
Falling back into those habits of familiar contentment
Letting your arms slip slowly around my waist
And the warmth of your cheeks press up against my chest
But you told me I am not the one; 13 months went up in flames
What a waste, but this addiction remains the same
Those habits, we are unable to shake or break
How weak we are and how weak we’ve been
To pretend to be in love and to pretend to not be ashamed
