Sudoku
Sudoku is made up of a 9 x 9 playing field with numbers from 1 to 9 scattered throughout. The object of the game is to fill every column, row and 3 x 3 box with the numbers 1 through 9, without repeating any numbers in any given column, row or box.
The difficulty level of the puzzles will change from week to week. Some will be easy. Some will be moderate. Some will make you want to cry. It’s gonna be a grab bag, so hang on.
If you get stuck, the answers can be found here, but don’t give in unless you absolutely cannot do it! What fun is finishing it if you had to cheat?
Horoscopes
ARIES
March 21 – April 19
Forces that are beyond your control are at work. With the end of the semester in sight, it remains imperative that you act carefully. Be sure to cross all of your t’s and dot your i’s. Careful planning can keep you from having to admit defeat because you’re overwhelmed.
TAURUS
April 20 – May 20
Where do you want to go from here? While thinking of the future can be overwhelming, it is now time for a reassessment. A chance meeting this week holds immense potential. Keep in mind that there are many forms of love and companionship, and that your identity is constantly in flux.
GEMINI
May 21 – June 21
If you have a great idea, it is often the case that keeping it to yourself is the best course of action. Now is not the time. Choose a confidant, and let them know what you’ve been thinking. You can achieve great things on your own, but together you can nurture that idea into something greater than either of you can imagine.
CANCER
June 22 – July 22
Love can make you believe just about anything. Be sure to keep in mind that people are just that: people. Everyone has special qualities that make them wonderful and unique, but everyone also has his or her own set of flaws. Don’t fault someone for not being the ideal that passion has made you believe.
LEO
July 23 – August 22
The future may seem foggy and uncertain from where you’re standing right now. Try not to let it get to you. While not knowing where you’re going and what you’re doing can be immensely frustrating, this trial will be a lesson in patience. Just wait it out; your time of confusion will pass into radiant clarity.
VIRGO
August 23 – September 22
While you’re usually good at sensing if things are going wrong, nobody’s perfect. You’re at risk for losing a much valued relationship. Make sure that you know what is what with everyone in your social circle. Most times conversation will help patch up wounds and heal scars. It’s time to play medic before it’s too late.
LIBRA
September 23 – October 22
If you feel like you’re stuck and not going anywhere, it’s very possible that you are correct. People generally like for things to be in motion; it is difficult to accept any period of stasis. Haste, however, often leads to frustration. Though you may not notice any changes going on around you, have faith that things are evolving, if slowly.
SCORPIO
October 23 – November 21
Be careful about who you trust. Though it is good to approach people with an open mind, it is important to remember that not everyone always acts with your best interests in mind. In order to protect yourself, remember that discretion is an important trait to have and to exercise from time to time.
SAGITTARIUS
November 22 – December 21
Have confidence in the fact that any choices you’ve made after careful consideration recently are right. You’ve got the willpower to follow through, and all you need now is the conviction. It’s easy to hear other people’s opinions and doubt your decision. Don’t let them sway you. Sometimes you really do know what’s best for yourself.
CAPRICORN
December 22 – January 19
Though it’s cliché to say that you should listen to your elders, clichés are well known for a reason. Now is the time to put some faith in the advice of individuals older and more experienced than yourself. If you listen instead of speak, guidance will be granted to you by someone who’s been where you are.

Rediscover your childhood sense of wonder. A period of renewal and intense joy will soon be upon you. You may not notice it, however, if you continue to look through weary eyes. With all of your hard work, be careful not to gamble away what you’ve gained needlessly. The odds are not in your favor at this time, and it would be foolish to challenge fate. It is better to miss an opportunity than risk ruining things. It’s okay to play it safe; in fact, it will prove more lucrative in the long run.

Broken Girl

I look into the mirror these days
and I don’t recognize
the hollow girl
that I see.
The girl I once knew
was filled with
optimism and hope.
She laughed and
smiled; she was happy.
Her beauty inside has
died.
No, she’s no longer there
when I stare into the
mirror on the wall.
Why did she
fall?
Where has she gone to?
Will she ever make it
home?
“My heart,
it’s fighting a
hopeless battle;
it will never win.
Its beats have
s l o w e d
and it is close to
dead,
but it keeps fighting
until the
end;
it has something worth fighting for,”
she says,
as she stares back at me
emptily.
It’s hard to believe in her,
this broken girl before me,
after having met the last one,
so filled with life and
love.
